WHY AM I RUNNING?

When I immigrated to Canada as a teenager over thirty years ago, I knew I was being welcomed into a nation where anyone could achieve their dreams through hard work and dedication. Ensuring that we leave behind a country with the same opportunities for future generations has always been a priority for me.

As a single mother, businesswoman, Muslim, and immigrant, I represent the diverse fabric of our great nation. I understand the challenges many families in our community face and am committed to being a voice for those who often feel unheard. My story is a testament to the Canadian dream, and I am dedicated to ensuring this dream remains accessible to all.

My motto is "Stay positive and start believing. Elevate, celebrate, and support each other." I promise to fight daily for the values of accountability, fiscal responsibility, and efficiency as a Conservative candidate and MP. With over 25 years of experience as a businesswoman at one of the world's leading IT companies and as a mother of three, these values have always been integral to my life.

As a two-time campaign manager and a former candidate, I have experienced firsthand the intricacies of running a general election campaign in the toughest situations. My strong relationships with local, provincial, and federal business, community, and political leaders will enable me to achieve the best results possible for Oakville West residents. We have a real chance to turn Oakville West blue and it will require genuine campaign experience and knowledge.

Having lived in Oakville for over 20 years, I am passionate about representing our friendly and hardworking community. During my time as a volunteer for Zonta International and Halton Women’s Place, I have witnessed the selflessness of Oakvillians and believe they deserve a representative in parliament who fights for them daily.

I have also had the privilege of hosting two television shows, "Tag Talk with Nadirah Nazeer" on Tag TV and "Healthy Minds Healthy Lives with Nadirah" on YourTV Halton, where I engaged with a wide range of issues affecting our community. These experiences have equipped me with a deeper understanding of the concerns and aspirations of local voters.

I am ready to launch a positive, issues-focused campaign that unites conservative-leaning voters in Oakville West and expands our reach to new communities that may not have supported us in the past. I am committed to making life more affordable for residents in Oakville West, tackling the costs of food, fuel, and housing, and continuing to combat crime in our community, such as the recent wave of car thefts in Oakville.
